You gain smarter decisions, measurable savings, and a long term partner who shows up when it matters.
Decades of real world lessons that shape our work

The idea is formed
In 2015, a team of solar O&M and power quality experts tasked with optimizing DG and utility-scale assets struggled to find a high-quality solar power monitoring system. Existing tools fell short in reliability, visibility, and usability.
They saw a clear need for stronger, smarter energy asset management across the industry.

Designing the system we wished existed
A five-time founder in the power quality and energy sector, Hassan Yarpezeshkan has developed mission-critical power conditioning systems deployed by global industrial leaders and brings more than 25 years of experience in power quality design, product development, and manufacturing.
At NextWave, Hassan's leadership establishes the technical rigor and reliability framework that underpins NextWave’s long-term performance.

Scaling engineered monitoring for real-world assets
In 2018, NextWave Energy Monitoring is born. With deep roots in asset management and operations, Nader Yarpezeshkan built NextWave to scale its PaaS platform and hardware solutions with engineering rigor and operational discipline. His experience leading solar development and O&M across distributed and utility-scale assets shaped a system grounded in reliability, accountability, and real-world operability.
This foundation ensures consistent quality, accountability, and reliability as systems scale.

Making complexity usable
Rosso Salman, a former senior staff engineer with deep experience in large-scale, safety-critical software and embedded systems, joins NextWave as CTO bringing the system's interface to real life. This milestone marked the first solar energy monitoring system that prioritizes user experience.
O&M teams pilot the solar monitoring system on operating assets, making improvements as they learn. Early deployments validate performance and generate real-world feedback that continues to inform the platform today.
In 2020, NextWave officially launches PVPulse™, delivering operator-first solar asset monitoring paired with DAS hardware and a customer-focused experience.

Expansion reveals new lessons
Interest in high-quality energy asset management paired with a customer-first approach proves to be international. Deployments across the U.S., Asia, and South America expose the platform to diverse grid conditions, regulatory environments, and asset configurations.
Nhon Tran joins the team, bringing exceptional electrical engineering skill to NextWave. He oversees execution, documentation, and QA discipline, prioritizing engineering excellence across all aspects of design and field execution.
Exposure to real-world conditions, combined with strong technical leadership, continues to strengthen diagnostics and overall system performance.

Innovating beyond solar
After a Fortune 100 company adopted PVPulse™ for solar power monitoring, they engaged NextWave to extend the same real-time, actionable insights across additional building systems.
This work led to the development of TotalPulse™, a comprehensive building energy management platform integrating solar, storage, HVAC, EVs, water, gas, and SCADA data into a single system.
Ethan Ehlers joins NextWave to expand customer engagement and partnerships as the company scales.

Constant evolution
NextWave continues to meet the moment with innovations that connect hardware, analytics, and people.
In 2026, Andrew B. Goldin joins as COO to continue expanding NextWave’s community solar and utility integration capabilities. An experienced leader in power, controls, and SCADA engineering, he brings 40+ years in power engineering and over 1 GW of solar PV experience to NextWave’s technical leadership team.
Our growing team of specialized experts continues to shape the industry. Stay tuned for the PVPulse™ mobile app, coming to iOS and Android in 2026 — the next step in delivering integrated, next-generation energy monitoring solutions.
